Philadelphia City Paper

TOM - I illustrated this past weeks Philadelphia City Paper cover. They were holding their annual fiction contest, so I was asked to illustrate the winning story. This was the second cover I did for them, and much more challenging than the first. The concept given to me was pretty whacky, so the challenge was to fit in quite a bit of info while maintaining an interesting composition. Since it was going to be printed on newsprint, I was encouraged to use bright bold colors to avoid a muddy washed out cover.
Here is the final product. All in all, I'm happy with the way it turned out and glad to get the chance to illustrate another cover. If you're into short fiction, check out the story here.
