Joe and Marilyn

TOM - This drawing was inspired by something I read on Wikipedia about Marilyn Monroe recently. According to the article, after Marilyn's death, her ex husband Joe DiMaggio 'had a half-dozen red roses delivered to her crypt three times a week' for 20 years. Pretty intense,right? Kinda sad and beautiful too though. It definitely inspired me to make an illustration out of it. Hope everyone's having a good weekend!

Mars Bar

TOM - There's a real shithole of a bar here in New York called Mars Bar. This Illustration is for a story in New York Press about a regular over there named Johnny. I did my best to imagine what he might look like, I had fun. Check out the article here.

ED DEPP

TOM - One of my favorite movies is Ed Wood by Tim Burton and Johnny Depp. Wonderful story, beautifully shot, it's one of those movies I'll rewatch scenes just for inspiration. Here is a drawing of my take on Ed Depp. I don't think the likeness is %100, but I'm happy with the way it turned out anyway. Action!
