New Sketchbook Drawings






JAMES - Here's a bunch of new sketchbook drawings of mine - kinda the best of the latest batch. Just having a good time, switching it up, and trying new stuff.

These all look great but I think my favorites are the top and bottom drawings. They would both make awesome posters too. The colors and the design both really work.

I dig the Local Natives reference, that one seems like a study for the lace you were drawing a few weeks ago? You always make really great use of the double page spread in your sketchbooks too.

Thanks so much guys. Alex, I'm glad you said that - I was thinking about making prints for some of these. I think I might....

And Tom, that pattern is actually based on the Indian henna designs (Mehndi) - I used something like that in a recent print that I'll post here soon. But you're right, I did use this as practice for that lace drawing. Totally helped.
